Women’s Apparel: Tania Blanco, Women’s Nike Athletic Shop Manager, Scheels

Taina Blanco

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Tania Blanco is passionate about the Sioux Falls community and her career at SCHEELS. She is the Women’s Athletic Shop Manager for Nike and is committed to offering exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with customers. Customers are always the first priority at SCHEELS and Blanco demonstrates this by going above and beyond to meet the needs and expectations of her customers.

“My goal is to help customers by giving them a very special shopping experience. I strive to help them find what they are looking for and give them suggestions and options to choose from. I want to be their personal shopper,” Blanco said. SCHEELS encourages and empowers their employees to give back to their communities. Blanco has done just that by participating in a grill competition for United Way, hosting Puppies and Nachos to help fundraise money for Whitney for Miss Amazing and has participated in the Latino Heritage Festival in Des Moines, Iowa, since 2002. Recently, SCHEELS sponsored her for this event where she taught people how to make a five-course meal, utilizing her degree in culinary arts. She even created a cookbook for the festival and donated the profits to help with scholarships for Hispanic kids! “I have been lucky to share my cooking passion in several events at SCHEELS. My son, Malakai, also works at SCHEELS, and it makes me very proud when others tell me how helpful and courteous he is to customers,” Blanco said.“My goal is to help customers by giving them a very special shopping experience.
