Known for their late night hours, award-winning broasted chicken and 36 specialty pizzas to choose from, Boss’ Pizza & Chicken is a local staple in Sioux Falls. After 17 years of business, Boss’ Pizza now has four local stores: two typical delivery and carry-out pizzerias and two sports bars decorated to highlight local high school and college sports. Not only do they pride themselves on providing fresh, quality food, they also are committed to giving back to the community.
“Staying involved in the community is one of the things we take the most pride in. We sponsor local athletic teams from youth to men’s and women’s leagues. We make it a point to take food to the Mission, St. Francis House, Children’s Inn or Bishop Dudley on a regular basis. We have been doing a Free Thanksgiving Dinner for the last 11 or 12 years at our location on Minnesota avenue… Community involvement and giving back is very important to us,” owner Jeremy Seefeldt said.
Boss’ Pizza & Chicken is also dedicated to providing leadership opportunities to their staff members by promoting from within.
“At this time, there are six people who came up through this company and started on the ground floor (delivery driver or cook) who are now part owners in their own Boss’ location, a position they earned by proving work ethic and intangibles that showed me who they were. I brought them into the business without any money out of their pocket,” Seefeldt said.
According to Seefeldt, the success of Boss’ Pizza is largely due to their skilled staff and dedicated customers.
“We owe our staff and our loyal customers, who are the best customers in the world because their word of mouth advertising has helped us grow more than anything else, the biggest thank you you could ever imagine,” Seefeldt said.
