Faculty & Resident Physicians | Center for Family Medicine

Center for Family Medicine is devoted to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for the entire family. Founded in 1973, Center for Family Medicine is the home clinic for the Sioux Falls Family Medicine Residency. Their mission is to train allopathic and osteopathic family physicians, while emphasizing excellence in evidencebased medicine, patient care, and community service.

To date, their program has graduated nearly 350 residents, 75 percent of whom practice in South Dakota and neighboring states. Their program is sponsored jointly by Avera McKennan and Sanford Health Hospitals, and is affiliated with the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. Many of the primary care physicians you see today in Sioux Falls have been through this program!

In addition to providing physician education, the Center for Family Medicine is also a clinic that provides education and care for patients of all ages, from OB to geriatrics and everything in between. They provide routine exams, lab testing, mental health services, maternity care, men’s health, Aviation Medical Exams, and so much more!
