Converdia Health Staffing is a small, family-owned business that provides quality healthcare staffing for facilities in need. The coverage provided by Converdia includes short and long-term travel contracts, direct placements, and PRN shifts for nurses and allied staff. They also provide recruitment for physicians and advanced practice providers as well as Locum Tenens for emergency rooms. With a unique three-prong approach that has proven to be important to their success, they have provided staffing to a variety of facilities including long term care facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, and hospitals.
The vision for Converdia began over 30 years ago as a group of hospital administrators from various small, rural healthcare facilities experienced common difficulties with staffing. The shortages within each of the facilities were vast and created many challenges for their respective small, rural communities. Experiencing the high staffing demands in conjunction with low resources, an idea developed around staffing for rural communities and the dream for Converdia began.
Today, Converdia carries out their mission to serve the community by recruiting and providing healthcare staff. Building relationships through excellent lines of communication is at the core of the company’s willingness to serve. The goal is to partner with healthcare facilities to provide staff when needed to help maintain an excellent standard of care for patients/residents. The company’s footprint began in the tri-state region. It has now grown into services that impact 22 states with plans to expand into all 50. Since its inception, Converdia has been on a mission to build bridges between healthcare professionals and facilities to positively impact communities in need.
Sioux Falls was one of the ideal locations for Converdia to expand into, as it is a regional hub for healthcare with a thriving business community. “It is a central location where we can carry out the mission of the company to work with communities in need of healthcare staffing.
