Founder & CEO Angela Kennecke

Angela Kennecke’s advocacy was born from personal tragedy, the loss of her daughter Emily to fentanyl poisoning. In response, she founded Emily’s Hope, a nonprofit focused on removing the stigma of substance use disorder through prevention education, treatment scholarships, and family support.

Angela has shared Emily’s story in national specials and at The White House, where she’s been invited twice to speak. Through Emily’s Hope, she leads school-based prevention efforts, distributes free naloxone to save lives, and offers support groups for grieving families facing similar losses.

As a certified grief educator and host of the Grieving Out Loud podcast, Angela brings compassion, insight, and guidance to those navigating unimaginable pain. Her tireless commitment ensures Emily’s legacy lives on, helping others find hope, healing, connection, and a path forward through recovery and education.
